Does Kodak still make these? I haven't heard too much about them. I just bought an Elmo on eBay and didn't know until a few minutes ago that it took 200ft carts. I hope they're still made.

Here is a simple rule for you to remember.
All cameras take 50 foot cartridges, a select few cameras can use 200 foot loads.
There is a removable plate on the top of your Elmo super-8 camera that you take off when using a two hundred foot load. (not all Elmos take 200 foot loads, however, most of the final model elmos did take 200 foot loads)
If the top plate is missing when you get your camera, you must demand that they either find it, or take the camera back because that missing plate will cause ambient light to spill into the film chamber and wreak havoc with your film exposure.
The camera probably has the plate properly installed, I'm just watching out for you. I bought an Elmo camera that took 200 foot loads and it was missing the plate.

I just got the camera in the mail about an hour ago. It looks like it's never been used!!
Thanks for watching out for me Alex.

Sorry, 200' cartridges were discontinued 5-6 years ago. Your only hope to shot one is to find an old one on ebay.
Depending on the Elmo model the 1012 and 612 S-XL have the removeable plate. The others 230, 240, 260 S-XL's just have a fixed flip up top.

Especially this line...
Fabrikfrische Ware, haltbar bis 03/2004 !
Does that mean expiration date is March 2004? Why the exclamation point? I hate seeing words like halt...and ware...as in halt, beware?

Halt, Achtung, etc.
Watched too many Hollywood movies Alex?
It just sounds like that.
Tip: Watch the movie "Das Boot" (The Submarine) of Wolfgang Petersen. Recommended, very good.
And if you get on that road rent the "The Marriage of Maria Braun" by Rainer Werner Fassbinder too. Need to be watched more than once to get hold of all the details.
Ther IS a world outside Hollywood actually but there are loads of more of cou! rse.
Might add some different angles on the usual Hollywood path.
